1. Introduction
Krystyna Starodub, an individual developer based in Ukraine, operates the messenger under the Sayli trademark. In this document “Sayli”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Krystyna Starodub, and “you” means you, the user of the service.
By installing a Sayli app, or by using the web version, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Sayli is designed never to collect or store sensitive information it does not need. Calls and secret chats are protected by end-to-end encryption and cannot be read by us or by any third party.
2. Your account
To sign up you need a working mobile number. You are responsible for keeping access to that number, and we strongly recommend switching on two-step verification.
You must be at least 16 years old, or older where the law of your country requires it.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. If you lose access to your number, write to us at info@sayli.chat.
3. Community principles
By signing up to Sayli you confirm that:
- you are 16 years old or above;
- you accept our Privacy Policy;
- you will not promote violence, discrimination or anything else offensive to other users;
- you will not send spam to other users;
- you will not perform any kind of fraud using the service;
- you will not publish pornographic, violent or otherwise disturbing and/or illegal content;
- you will not share the private data of other users without their consent.
Sayli has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any message, chat or user and block any user right from the app. Our moderators review reports within 24 hours; users who post objectionable content or abuse others are banned from Sayli, and public channels and groups that break these rules are blocked. Secret chats are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot see what is in them, but we act on reports about the people involved.
4. Price
Sayli is free to use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or ads.
Data plans, internet fees and other costs of your connection are your responsibility.
If we ever introduce paid features, we will update these Terms and tell you in the app at least 30 days before they take effect.
5. Termination
A breach of these Terms of Service may result in a temporary or permanent ban from Sayli or from some of its services.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Privacy and Security → Delete My Account.
6. Content and intellectual property
You keep the rights to the content you send. You grant us a technical licence to store that content and to deliver it to its recipients, for as long as is needed to provide the service.
The Sayli name, the logo, the apps and the interface elements are our intellectual property. You may not use them in a way that suggests your product is made or endorsed by us.
If you believe that content on Sayli infringes your rights, write to us at info@sayli.chat, describing the content, the right you hold and where the content can be found.
7. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim for round-the-clock availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for losses caused by outages, by the acts of third parties, or by data lost because you kept no backup of your own.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you live.
9. Changes to these Terms of Service
These Terms may be updated further by a unilateral decision of Krystyna Starodub.
We announce material changes in the app and on sayli.chat at least 30 days before they take effect, and we update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change has taken effect means that you accept the new version.
